Super Bowl LVII is almost here, and if you’re headed to Glendale, Arizona, for the big game you’re going to need to be prepared for a celebratory (or consolatory) meal. The stadium is located in the rapidly growing West Valley, which has a pocket of familiar mainstay chains — both local and national — largely clustered around the popular Westgate Entertainment Center. While the area might not be a dining hot spot (yet!) there are still plenty of options to keep NFL football fans fed throughout the weekend with a variety of cuisines ranging from barbecue to sushi.

The Super Bowl LVII is taking over Glendale, Arizona. Here’s where to eat well near the field

Salt Tacos y Tequila
This popular regional Mexican food mini-chain has a restaurant conveniently located at Westgate Entertainment District offering favorites like carne asada tacos and beef birria burritos. Plus, you can get the tailgating party started and pair your meal with tequila from the extensive bar menu. If brunch is more your style, the restaurant has no shortage of options from the spicy, dark chocolate champurrado waffle to chilaquiles to avocado toast — all available with its (almost) bottomless mimosas or margaritas.
Hot N Juicy Crawfish
This seafood chain is another staple at Westgate, with baskets of fried fish, pounds of seasoned crab and crawfish, and plates of raw oysters. Large portions mean no one will leave hungry. Don’t forget to end your meal with an order of fried brownies.
NakedQ BBQ
You might not be actually playing on the field, but if you’re craving a hearty pre- or post-game feast, look no further than NakedQ, a restaurant offering stacked sandwiches and traditional platters for barbecue lovers. Chow down on pulled pork, pulled chicken, brisket, sliced turkey, ribs, or jalapeno hot links. Don’t forget sides like cornbread, creamy slaw, potato salad, and barbecue beans.
State 48 Funk House Brewery
Even with all the Super Bowl festivities around the Valley, you might still be looking for fun things to do near the stadium, and the State 48 Funk House offers precisely that. Go bowling, play billiards, and enjoy an order of beer cheese or gravy-topped disco fries while sipping a refreshing Javelina Hefeweizens.
The Lola
Want a meal that’s as Instagram-worthy as it is delicious? Head to the Lola for beautifully plated variations of favorite game-day foods like crispy hot chicken sandwiches, over-the-top burgers, charcuterie boards, and pretzel sticks. For the whole experience, opt for one of the cocktails (The Pineapple Delight is served in a cored pineapple.) and the giant Cookie Monster sundae that feeds up to eight people.
