Let’s be real: Sometimes as parents you don’t necessarily think it’s a good idea to walk into a restaurant with your kids. They may not be on their best behavior and you certainly want to avoid a meltdown in a public place during dinner.

There is some good news for Phoenix diners and their children. There are several kid-friendly restaurants that can keep your mood in high spirits and most importantly know how to do everything right when it comes to your kid’s entertainment and appetites from bistros serving vegetarian black bean burgers to diners that serve child-pleasing plates of pancakes with a side of coloring pages.

Health experts consider dining out to be a high-risk activity for the unvaccinated; the latest data about the delta variant indicates that it may pose a low-to-moderate risk for the vaccinated, especially in areas with substantial transmission. The latest CDC guidance is here; find a COVID-19 vaccination site here.
